awildlifejourney

A personal documentation of wildlife and nature, from trips around the globe — embracing the encounter, and sharing a little of the world's wildlife along the way.

Scroll

For a few years now I've been traveling to places and animals all over the world, trying to embrace the encounter and learn a little about the wildlife I meet — documenting it without disturbing it. This is my wildlife journey — more journal than portfolio, and it keeps growing with every trip.

Each trip with its own climate and its own animals.

Jan Grauthoff, based in Cologne, Germany — ambitious about wildlife photography, and just as passionate about travel and finding new destinations. One encounter in Kenya was enough to hook me for good.

That passion is what I try to bring into every picture. Not just a nice photo — a moment I'll remember, and maybe one that gets someone else a little excited about that animal too.
